Best monitor I have used

By

from Alexandria, MN, USA

About Me

Comments:

This thing is super accurate and never drops out. The lights are a nice feature so you know it's working before you fire up the computer. Selling my other monitors if you're interested ;)

Great for standalone, not as quick to connect

About Me

Comments:

This is pretty similar to the TICKR's I've owned, (devices that I loved!). I was intrigued to try the TICKR X because of the stand alone uses of it. (DOn't need to carry the iPhone with me etc. It's the same size, fits the same way etc so overall I'm pretty happy with it. And I do like that it connects well to the Wahoo 7-minute fitness app. TWO THINGS TO NOTE: A) It takes much longer to connect to my phone, in fact I had to contact Wahoo support about this a few times. Now, before I use it, I have to launch the Wahoo Utility App to make sure it's connected via Bluetooth (which is a helluva hassle, and something I never had to do with my cheaper TICKRs). More steps in the process. B) the ability to "tap" the device is a two edged sword. During Wahoo 7-minute app use, I like that it will track my cadence or rep count. But I generally don't listen to music during a workout and when I'm doing things like benchpress, the bar will often "tap" thedevie (which is a chest strap device), and turn on the music which breaks into my "zone" and I lose my pace. HIGHLY IRRITATING that I cannot disable this aspect of the device. Had I to known all of the above I would probably just have stuck with my TICKR. (Which is still in perfect condition and connects far, far quicker to my phone). Anyway, I'll hold onto it as a backup.

Great ergonomics and comfortable, good HR pickup

By

from Salt Lake City, UT, United States

About Me

Comments:

This is probably my 6th HRM. I particularly like several features compared to my Scoschi arm HRM and multiple Garmin HRMs. For one, it is comfortable. Also it is easy to snap closed once around me (older folks who need reading glasses know it can be tough to get the Garmin hooked through the sleeve. No spurious beats as of yet. I have not ridden under high tension power lines yet so I don't know how it will handle those. Finally, if you live in a Wahoo ecosystem, it works so so well with the Element Bolt.

Treadmill mode provides terrible data!

By

from Moscow, Russia

About Me

Comments:

Bought especially for indoor treadmill using. After first, second ... 10-th calibration still providing me crazy pace data, 00:30 for km. (it's more than 100 km/h)! Using for outdoor workout without any problem. Strongly not recommend for sportsmen with indoor activities.

Corrosion caused a clip failure in the strap

By

from California, United States

About Me

Comments:

The monitor works fine, but a snap-clip in the strap corroded and failed, and in less time than it took to wear out a battery. I've waxed the replacement straps snap-clips with chain wax to try and avoid/delay similar corrosion.

Couldn't be easier

By

from London, United Kingdom

About Me

Comments:

My Tickr X was delivered literally 10 minutes before I had to head out for a spin class. So I quickly download the Wahoo Fitness app from Google Play, entered my profile details and paired the monitor, and was ready to record my session. It couldn't be easier!
